Describe Yourself:I love to sing, more than anything, I sing everywhere, in the car, in the shower, at work ~ at every job I have ever had. When I was a toddler I would wrap a towel around me like a cape, stand on a stepstool, and sing into a screwdriver. I joined the choir in the 3rd grade and stayed with it through high school graduation. During basic training, the girls I bunked with asked me to sing to them at night. I have never been crazy about karaoke, probably cause I dont go to bars. But I have performed the Star Spangled Banner for retirement ceremonies when I was enlisted. I have spent the majority of my life taking care of others first. This is the one thing I want for me. Some people will tell me that I'm not good. Thats ok. Its not very nice, but its ok. There are many singers out there, making millions, that dont have any talent at all, at least not in my opinion. But at the end of the day, what is my opinion to them? I dont think its affecting them one bit.....so I will take a lesson from that, and anyone else that has dreams should too...keep doing what you do. People too weak to follow their own dreams will always find a way to discourage others. My momma taught me better ~ at the risk of being cliche' yet again ~ If you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything at all, cause the only person you are bringing down, is yourself.
I am a mom of two little girls, married 3 years and I stay as busy as I can, I get involved with just about everything I can volunteer for, March of Dimes, Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, and every walk/run that I hear about. I'm a youth counselor at a treatment center for troubled youth in Terre Haute, Indiana. I have sang since I was old enough to talk. I spent my entire life in choir. I love just about all music. My influences would include Michelle Branch, Sugarland, Reba, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Amy Lee. -
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:Just a way to put myself out there. I seem to miss oportunities like this because of my busy life.

I would weep if Sarah Palin was veep

Sarah Palin speaks during a rally in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Tina Fey appeared right when I needed her, just when all seemed bleak.
The NYPD was reporting another murdered child and the latest casualty reports from Afghanistan included a New Yorker who was a particularly nice guy.
That made me think of two other fine men I know in Afghanistan, as well as two buddies in Iraq.

Then my lawyer friend Eddie Hayes called to say that the economy seemed to be headed for the Greater Depression.
"The guys who are supposed to be getting us out of this are the same guys who got us into it in the first place," Hayes observed.
Just when all seemed gloomy, I turned on the TV to see Tina Fey doing her best Sarah Palin routine since "I can see Russia from my house."
All the gloom fell away, and I was silently laughing as the comic figure with the hairdo and glasses went on and on with that tundra accent about the media and her $150,000 GOP wardrobe.

"The whole thing with the wardrobe. I tried to just ignore it, because it's so ridiculous."
The routine kept going, really getting good.
"These clothes, they are not my property. ... I'm not taking them with me. I'm back to wearing my clothes from my favorite consignment shop in Alaska."
The world seemed just pure, ridiculous fun when Fey was joined by a blond woman whom I took to be her sidekick Amy Poehler doing a routine as a conservative airhead chattering about sexism.
RELATED: LUPICA: HEY, PALIN, THERE ARE REAL AMERICAN HEROES HERE IN NYC
Then I realized this second woman was Elisabeth Hasselbeck from "The View" - and that I had not been watching Fey at all, but the real Sarah Palin.
I felt the gloom begin to close in again at the thought that this woman might really become just an aged and anxious heartbeat from the presidency.
Where would we be if she were commander in chief empowered to nuke Russia from her house?
Then I steadied myself with the thought that enough people share my worries about Palin that she will most likely be back in Alaska in time for the famous bowling ball bonfire.
That big event in Wasilla involves placing a bowling ball atop a sawed-off oxygen tank filled with black powder and shooting it into the air to land who knows where.
Not even Fey could top that.
Watching Palin is almost as much fun as watching Tina Fey and - with Poehler on maternity leave after the birth of a baby boy - Hasselbeck will do until Amy gets back. I could listen to that sexism bit again and again. The pouty twist of the lips is priceless.
And, where do they get those extras in the background, cheering as if it all makes sense? They were good for a laugh, as long as I kept at bay the thought that there might be enough of them for McCain/Palin to win.
That possibility was enough to dim the sunshine as I walked on 21st St. in Queens in the glory that was Monday afternoon.
On the next block, I came to Silvercup Studios, where Tina Fey makes her show "30 Rock."
Fey has pledged to cease doing Palin if Sarah Barracuda is elected - and then Palin will cease being funny at all.
At least we will still have the great Tina, who will surely find a way to make us smile.

Barack Obama was seated next to a little girl on an airplane He
turned to her and said, “Let's talk. I've heard that flights go
quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”
The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and
said to Obama, “What would you like to talk about?”
“Oh, I don't know,” said Obama. “How about ‘What Changes I Should Make To America’?” and he smiles.
“OK,”she said. “hat could be an interesting topic. But let me ask
you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same
stuff --- grass . Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns
out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why
do you suppose that is?”
Obama, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks
about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”
To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to
change America when you don't know shit?”
KIDS RULE ! CASE CLOSED OBAMBI !

It amazes me. I'm in shock..almost. The realization that so many people buy into the insane lies that Obama has continuously spewed from his mouth is amazing.
"A guy that lives in my neighborhood"..(Ayers)..yeah..someone who passionately participated in the social revolution ! Passionately participated in ? Bombing buildings regardless whether Federal or no..people died because of actions this guy was directly associated with and responsible for. Obama worked for at least two organizations affilitated with Ayers...sure....just a guy who lives in my neighborhood. Uh huh.
He's known that radical for at least 20 years and has said publicly that what Ayers did was despicable and yet knowing full well who he was and what he stood for...he pursued career opportunities right along side this felon. Obama has no shame. It's all about him. He cares nothing about America. Don't be fooled.
"I didn't ever notice anything racially out of line about anything Reverand Wright said" !
Hmmm...not very observant of the Senator is it..after 20 years of attending the same church..to have NEVER heard any racial overtones. I find that rather hard to swallow.
Apparently he either can't comprehend the blatant blasphemy against white Americans that his pastor spat out so vehemently or he agrees with it. I believe that would make HIM a candidate that most of America would prefer not have in the White House ! Oh...Obama has alot of experience. Does anyone actually KNOW what that experience he rants about as a commmunity organizer entailed?
He DEFENDED ACORN..plenty of information about that all over the net. I won't bore you ..but check it out. He backs these guys like they were family !
Wake up! This isn't a party! This election is the most crucial turning point in American societal preservation we've ever had.
Don't vote until you REALLY see what this man has accomplished....nothing to better us as a people I'd venture to say. Plenty to better himself..sure. I'm not voting for him to be King...he doesn't impress me.
Decide if the old adage of guilt by association applies to his direct and continuous (even to this day) association with malcontents and downright criminals applies. He even espouses that these are the kinds of people that he learned the most from and will surround himself with in the WHITE HOUSE if elected.
There are so many reasons to NOT vote for Obama...it's an endless list....delve into reality and you'll see. Take off the blinders and stop believing the blathering incompetant ramblings of an orator extraordinaire long enough to see the insincerity and deceitful speech which is the makeup of Obama 's rhetorical lies that he continues to sway the masses with.
Don't be blind America...Obama is NOT who you think he is..and if so..and you'd still vote for him knowing his true persona...then it's my opinion you're not much of an American at all..if you don't at least find out more before you cast that vote.
The consequences to your action will be everlasting.
This is NOT merely a partisan matter folks...this is a matter of National Security and the survival of this great nation ! -
